REPORTING/COORDINATING RELATIONSHIP: Director of Substance Use Services/Program Manager for Genesis.



(1) Intake, screening, referrals, and crisis intervention services, responding within one hour of the request when assigned to that service.
(2) Individual, family and group therapy for substance abuse outpatient clients with variety of presenting problems
(3) Participation in weekly conferences with the Psychiatrist and the Program Manager.
(4) Prepare treatment plans, write goals and objectives.
(5) Work as part of a multi-disciplined team in Clinic with emphasis on brief, goal oriented therapy.
(6) Consultation and education in the community and with community agencies which may include law enforcement, industry, Community Based Services, and others on both program and case basis.
(7) Clinician may be required to work an altered schedule and provide clinical services one to two evenings per week.
(8) Provided substance use evaluations and DUI Assessments as needed.
(9) Employee must be willing to reside in the Pennyroyal Region.
(10) Travel to other area clinics will be expected based on the needs of the Center.
(11) Group work with clients as specific needs are identified.
(12) Administer Urine Drug Screens when required.
(13) Other duties as assigned/required.


Minimum of Master’s degree in a human service related field. Must be licensed to provide mental health services in the state of Kentucky. Must complete 20 hours of substance abuse education annually to be credentialed as a Qualified Substance Abuse Professional. At least 5 years experience in providing substance abuse services. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and present proof of automobile insurance. Must pass a legally required Criminal Record Check and Sexual Offender Registry check, and present proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
