KITCHEN SUPERVISOR/PURCHASING AGENT Veterans Center

REPORTING/COORDINATING RELATIONSHIP: Coordinator Veterans Center

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Kitchen Workers

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Supervision of Kitchen operation and maintain kitchen equipment.
2. Ordering and purchasing all food.
3. Serve as purchasing agent for all food, equipment, and supplies relating to the PVC.
4. Develop and maintain daily menus.
5. Prepare food and serve according to dally menu.
6. Maintain Inventory.
7. Maintain appropriate level if supplies relating to cleaning and clients personal hygiene.
8. Ensure all scheduled cooking/cleaning and maintenance is performed in a safe environment and a safe manner and in accordance with Health Dept. standards.
9. Supervision of all kitchen staff.
10. Maintain working schedule of kitchen staff.
11. Supervise resident KP program.
12. Serve as SNAP (food stamp) and Medicaid liaison between the DCBS office and the PVC.
13. Complete purchase orders for all expenses. Assist program office assistant with PO’s.
14. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 3 year experience in food service preferred. 3 year experience in ordering/purchasing. Must pass a Criminal Records Check and Sexual Offender Registry check. Must present proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
