DRUG COURT TREATMENT LIAISON, Substance Abuse

REPORTING/COORDINATING RELATIONSHIP: Director of Substance Abuse Services

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) The Treatment Liaison will provide services and support for the Hopkins County Drug Court
participants.
2) Will work with Pennyroyal treatment staff to develop weekly progress reports on each
participant which will be given to Drug Court staff in order to improve communication and collaboration between the two agencies.
3) Will provide assistance to Drug Court staff by providing case monitoring duties ( i.e. checking
on participants in the community, doing home visits, checking on employment) to insure participants are being compliant with court expectations.
4) Will meet regularly with Pennyroyal staff, Drug Court staff, and community based service
providers and attend all drug court sessions and drug court team meetings as indicated.
5) Will establish a positive working relationship with all drug court team members and the
agencies they represent that allow a collaborative approach to assist participants and meet the participant’s needs.
6) Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Must be
available at least by telephone for drug court and treatment staff to contact as needed for assistance.
7) Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services related field. Prefer at least one year experience in substance abuse, mental health or correctional field. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and present proof of automobile insurance. Must pass legally required Criminal Record Check and Sexual Offender Registry check, present proof of recent (less than 1 year old) TB skin test.
