REPORTING/COORDINATING RELATIONSHIP: Director of Clinical Operations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Crisis Case Managers

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This employee is responsible for managing crisis services which include, but are not limited to, the adult and children’s crisis stabilization programs and community crisis.
Duties include:
(1) Budgetary preparation and management responsibility for crisis programs.
(2) Monitor and ensure that appropriate crisis services are provided to clients.
(3) Ensure documentation of case manager services are being completed in a manner to allow for billing.
(4) Provide therapy services to crisis clients residing in the personal care home and crisis outpatient services..
(5) Continually evaluate crisis service needs for region. Develop and implement crisis services to meet the needs of clients as expected.
(6) Authorize crisis services and placement length of stay, including crisis placements in crisis beds for adults.
(7) Supervise all crisis staff to ensure that accessible, appropriate, and least restrictive treatment options for crisis response are provided.
(8) Represent the Pennyroyal Center at state-wide or called meetings, (ie. crisis directors.)
(9) Interview, recruit, train, and supervise crisis employees.
(10) Represent the Center’s Crisis Services Program to all referral sources and other community providers with whom crisis/emergency services interface.
(11) Participate in staff/management meetings as necessary/assigned.
(12) Available for consultation by phone regarding crisis services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
(13) Other duties as required/assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters Preferred. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field. Minimum of 1-year experience in the mental health field is preferred, 3 years with a Bachelor’s degree. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and provide proof of automobile insurance as required by the State of Kentucky. Must pass a Criminal Record Check and a Sexual Offender Registry check. Must present proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
