ASSISTANT KITCHEN SUPERVISOR, Veterans Center

REPORTING/COORDINATING RELATIONSHIP: Kitchen Supervisor/Purchasing Agent

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Kitchen Workers

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Assist in the supervision of the kitchen operations and maintain kitchen equipment.
2) Perform Kitchen Supervisor duties in the absence of the Kitchen Supervisor.
3) Prepare food and serve according to daily menu and snack schedules.
4) Perform all duties in a safe manner according to safety guidelines.
5) Keep the kitchen area clean according to the Health Department standards.
6) Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights and shifts not covered by as-needed staff.
7) Become familiar with SNAP process and run in absence of Kitchen Supervisor
8) Other duties as required/assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 1 year experience in food service preferred. Must pass a Criminal Records Check and Sexual Offender Registry check. Must present proof of a recent (less than 1-year-old) TB skin test.
