Responsible for the overall supervision of the Workshop Program of Trace Industries-Madisonville. Responsible to the General Manager of Trace Industries. Duties of this position shall include the following:

Responsible for the daily training and supervision of 10-12 Client-Employees’ work skills in the Adult Day Habilitation program. Works under the supervision of the Shop Supervisor.

(10) Know the quality standards of applicable products and maintain product quality, adhere to all safety requirements, and abide to able to read and understand written instructions and comply with the Material Safety Data Sheets on all products used.
(11) Attend all production and training meetings as directed.
(12) Serve as forklift operator as needed.

(10) Monitor licensure requirements specific to Substance Use Services.

Services should include at least one of the following services: Skills training, cueing or supervision as identified in the individualized treatment plan; Medication adherence and recognizing symptoms and side effects; Non-clinical but therapeutic behavioral intervention, support and skills training; Assistance in accessing and utilizing community resources; Emotional regulation skills; Crisis coping skills; and Developing and enhancing interpersonal skills.
3. Services can include teaching and modeling such skills as the following: routine household care and maintenance; activities of daily living, including personal hygiene; shopping; money management; medication management; socialization; relationship building; participation in community activities; and goal attainment.
4. Community Support Services may be provided in the client’s home or in other community locations. Services are limited to no more than twelve (12) units (3 hours) per day, per client.
5. Assist in accessing housing for identified clients.
6. Must be able to establish rapport with clients and families.
7. Must have transportation and be willing to assist clients by providing outings and keeping scheduled appointments with various community advocacy agencies.
8. Employee is also responsible for record keeping associated with the services provided.
9. May fill in from time to time during the absence of other staff, as assigned by supervisor.
10. Attend supervision no less than one (1) time every two (2) weeks.
11. During each subsequent year of employment, a community support associate shall complete and maintain documentation of a minimum of six (6) hours of training or continuing education.

(10) Be knowledgeable of all required training and when trainings are needed. Work with training coordinator to ensure all trainings are completed within the necessary timeframe.
(11) Train new staffed residence employees. Follow-up after 1 week and 2 weeks and retrain if necessary.
(12) Assist Program Manager for Residential Support Services with duties required when opening new staffed residences.
(13) Attend weekly meeting with Director, Waiver Coordinator, and Residential Manager to discuss issues concerning houses as needed.
