Pennyroyal Center First Steps is an early intervention, family centered program. It is designed to share with caregivers of children, BIRTH TO THREE YEARS OF AGE, activities they can do with their child to increase or stimulate their child's development. It also helps families connect with other services, provides a support system to the family, and coordinates services.

HOW IS ELIGIBILITY DETERMINED?
Eligibility is based solely on a child's individual developmental growth. To be eligible for services, he/she must either (1) through an evaluation be found to have a significant develpmental delay in one or more areas of his/her development or (2) have a condition that is known to place the child at risk for a developmental delay. (Developmental delays are defined as problems that prevent a child from learning or growing like other infants or toddlers in his/her age range.)
WHO CAN MAKE REFERRAL & WHERE?
ANYONE who has a concern in regards to an infant or toddler's development is encouraged to call the First Steps office.
